  • I was an air force brat. Moved various places. Met and married my husband, whom had also traveled a lot. Have experience many ethnic foods. Cajun is my favorite. I have switched from our family's Arkansas red beans and rice recipe to my husband's family recipe (cajun) of red beans and rice.

  • I was raised in New Orleans, lived in the Bayous and have moved away. I was taught many different cajun and creole dishes, but never by using a recipe. I have starved myself long enough for the flavor that I grew up with. And with this site I will be returning home as least my taste buds will be. Kim M

  • I was doing a web search and ran across your website, realcajunrecipes.com. Being a cajun and owner of True Cajun, Inc (www.truecajun.com), and True Cajun Bayou Blend Seasonings and True Cajun Seafood Boil, I can say without any doubt, "you have a great website and great recipes" and with your authentic cajun recipes, you all would never have any problem incorporating them in a "Resturant Menu", no matter where you are. I commend all of you involved at realcajun.com for a job well done in promoting the cajun culture with your outstanding recipes. Kaplan Louisiana one of my favorite places in Louisiana truly has some remarkable cajun cooking going on in that town. I know you great people will pass on to the next generations, some of the finest eating enjoyment possible. I am, Sincerely, Your True Cajun Friend, Teddy Broussard, Grand Chenier, Louisiana 70643

  • Just returned from week in Jeff-Davis Parish with Berryton UM Church. Our VIM team of 18 were treated to DELICIOUS Cajun foods by Lake Arthur UMW ladies. Hospitality made us feel just like home, too. VIM team is planning a "Cajun Tasting" for our Church congregation, so I'm after recipes of the delicious foods we were fed by Christian Holiness Camp Ground hostess/manager and Lake Arthur UMW.(Got to give fellows there credit, too as menfolk were at dinners each eve.)

  • When we evacuated from Hurrican Rita I did not even think about mine and my Mama's cherished recipes. Well--Our home and everyone I knew lost their home and all of our precious recipes. Well except for two ladies that I know of who brought everyone of their's out. I found, by accident, your website and nearly fell out of my chair. There among all of the wonderful recipes were many of the same recipes I had lost. I have been trying to spread the word to let everyone know where they can connect with these old favorites. There's nothing like Cajun Comfort Food. God Bless you all...

  • I just want to let you all know how excited I was when I discovered this website. I am originally from Louisiana but now live in Missouri with my wonderful husband and the one thing i did not want was to loose my heritage and the cooking of all the wonderful foods i grew up with for my parents are from Abbeville and New Iberia and are truely cajun and brought us up on what i call "real cajun food" and this site has truely done that and lives up to its name. I was so amaized by the recipes that my mom use to smell our home with and there were no recipes that were written down , just in her memeory from her childhood and passed to us. Now i have a site and cookbook that i can now introduce to my family and friends here. Thank You so much from the bottom of my CAJUN HEART.
