| Ingredients |
| 1 pound ground beef |
3 links andouille sausage, sliced |
| 1 medium onion, chopped |
1 med bell pepper, chopped |
| 1 tbsp minced garlic |
2 cans 16 oz tomato sauce |
| 1 can 16 whole tomatoes chopped |
1 can 16 oz kidney beans |
| 1 tbsp heaping chili powder (or more to suit taste) |
Several dashes Worcestershire sauce |
| Salt & black pepper to taste |
Cayenne pepper to taste (or red pepper flakes, or both) |
| Water to cover |

| Directions |
Brown ground beef and sausage in olive oil. Add vegetables and cook until onions turn opaque. Add the liquid ingredients and all dry ingredients. Stir well, cover, and simmer for about an hour.
Serve as is or over a bed of rice with saltines or a crisp French bread or top with chopped onions and cheese.
