There are as many ways to cooks bread pudding as there are Cajun Cooks – all are winners.
Ingredients
- 5 cups state bread pieces
 - 4 cups whole milk
 - 3 eggs well beaten
 - 2 cups sugar
 - 4 tablespoons butter
 - 1 cup coconut
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
 
Directions
Step 1
Place bread pieces in an 8x10 baking pan
Step 2
In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix well
Step 3
Pour over bread - set aside 20 minutes to let the bread absorb the liquid.
Step 4
Bake at 350 degrees until pudding is set and medium brown - approximately one hour.
