This can be used for pudding pies or basis tart filing.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
 - 3 tbsp cornstarch
 - 1/4 tsp salt
 - 1 tbsp butter
 - 2 cups milk
 - 1 tsp vanilla
 - 1 egg yolk beaten
 
Directions
Step 1
Mix the sugar, cornstarch and salt. Combine the milk, vanilla and egg yolk. Combine the two in a medium saucepan and cook over low medium heat until the mixture thickens. Pour into favorite pie crust.
