From Wikipedia – Fruit salad is a dish consisting of various kinds of fruit, sometimes served in a liquid, either in their own juices or a syrup. When served as an appetizer or as a dessert, a fruit salad is sometimes known as a fruit cocktail or fruit cup. In different forms fruit salad can be served as an appetizer, a side-salad, or a dessert. There are a number of home recipes for fruit salad that contain different kinds of fruit, or that use a different kind of sauce other than the fruit’s own juice or syrup.

This recipe is a variation of a most delightful fruit salad – that magic ingredient brings all the flavors out


  • 1 29oz can of peaches cut up and all juice
  • 2 29oz cans fruit cocktail
  • 2 apples cut up
  • 2-3 oranges cut up
  • Seedless grapes cut
  • 1 container of strawberries cut up
  • 3 bananas sliced
  • maraschino cherries cut up - no juice
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 small can of pineapples chunks chopped or cut up fresh pineapple
  • 1 small box of French vanilla pudding dry


Step 1

Combine the first eight fruit ingredients together

Step 2

Add the dry French vanilla pudding and mix.

Step 3

Add the pineapples and kiwi last. Stir a few times.

Step 4

For best flavor chill a few hours - even better the next day
