This cake is so very simple to make…you’d think that it had taken all day to cook. Highly rated by Pop Pop – “Best cake he ever ate”. This would be a great cake to bake for a bingo or other fund-raiser.
- 1 box Pineapple Flavored Cake Mix
- 1 can large crushed pineapple drained
- 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp butter
Prepare as a sheet cake in a 9x13 pan the pineapple cake mix per the box direction.
Combine the pineapple, sugar and cornstarch in a microwavable bowl. Microwave for 12 minutes. Remove and immediately add 3 tablespoon butter.
Spread over the fully baked cake.
