Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 package yeast or 2 1/4 teaspoons.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cup to 4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm milk

Directions

Step 1

Mix the yeast with the warm water and let the mixture set for about 2O minutes. Combine the rest of the ingredients and add to the yeast mixture. Mix well. Let the dough rise until double in size. Punch down and make either golf-ball size rolls, or 2 larger loaves. Allow the dough to rise again until double in size. Bake at 350 degrees for 2O minutes or until golden brown. Dip in warm Steen’s syrup. Also great with milk.
