Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine or butter (12 Tbsp)
  • 4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (7 oz) packages Bakers Angel Flake Coconut
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, mix the milk, sugar, margarine, egg yolks, and vanilla. Cook and stir on medium heat about 12 minutes or until thickened and golden brown. Remove from heat.

Step 2

Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool to room temperature and of spreading consistency. Makes 4 1/2 cups.
