Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of fresh blackberries
  • 2 cups sugar separated
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick butter melted (8 tablespoons)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Step 1

If using fresh, wash, drain and paper towel dry berries lightly..

Step 2

In a bowl, add one cup of sugar to the blackberries and set aside for 15 minutes

Step 3

In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and the remaining ingredients and mix well

Step 4

Place the berries in a 9 x 13 pan.

Step 5

Spread the sugar mixture evenly over the blackberries

Step 6

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown
