Baked Chicken and Rice

This is an easy dish to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut up, or 6 to 8 chicken breast
  • 1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • Season All to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup rice, uncooked

Directions

Step 1

Lightly season the chicken with Season-All.

Step 2

Bring broth and water to a boil. Add Lipton soup package and mix well. Add the rice to the mixture and pour into the baking pan. Make sure the rice is spread evenly over the bottom of the pan.

Step 3

Place seasoned chicken in pan, cover with foil, and bake for 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

You may use 1 1/2 cups rice, but if you do, increase the liquid by a cup of broth or water. One of the more flavorful and least expensive ways to make your broth is to either use the bouillon cubes or Wylers chicken granules. Remove the skin to reduce the fat content.
