Shallot Herb Sauce

This is a light sauce with a delicate shallot flavor, it goes particularly well with seafood.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup minced shallots
  • 1 tsp finely chopped thyme
  • 1 tsp fresh ground pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt two tablespoons of butter. Add shallots and sauté for 5 minutes or until soft. Add thyme and black pepper. Remove from heat.

Step 2

Add the remaining butter and stir until completely combined. Use over cooked meat, poultry or seafood. Any unused sauce can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator.
