Lonesome Cowboy Cajun Bars

This recipe calls for corn flakes, but I have made with any other left over cereal I had in my pantry.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 6 cups corn flakes
  • 12 ounces butterscotch chips

Directions

Step 1

Over medium heat, bring sugar and syrup to a boil. Stir in peanut butter.

Step 2

Remove from heat and pour over cornflakes.

Step 3

Mix well, then pack into a 9x13 cake pan that has been greased with butter. Melt butterscotch chips in microwave and spread evenly on top of cereal mixtures.

Step 4

Cool completely and cut into bars.
