Jalapeno-Cheese Spread

This spread is easy to make and is a delicious, mildly spicy dip. I also sometimes use it to make a great grill cheese sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese or Longhorn cheddar cheese
  • 1 (16 oz) package softened cream cheese
  • 1 (7.5 oz) can jalapeno relish or finely diced jalapeno
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Spray lightly the inside of your food processor with PAM.

Step 2

Combine all ingredients for 2 minutes or until smooth, scraping the sides in between spins.

Adding a small amount of the juice from the jar of jalapenos helps the consistency but does add additional spice. Serve with crackers.
