German Fried Potatoes a’la Cajun

Boiled potatoe quarters deep fat fried; wonderful to serve with fried fish, shrimp, or boiled crabs.

Ingredients

  • 10 large white potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • salt water to taste
  • oil for deep fat frying
  • seafood boil and/or Cajun seasoning to taste

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oil to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Peel potatoes and cut into large chunks. Place chunks into seasoned water. Boil until tender when a fork is inserted into potato chunks. Remove and allow to cool.

Step 3

Add potato chunks and fry until golden brown.

Step 4

Remove, season, and enjoy.
