Down on the Bayou Dressing

This dressing is sure to please everyone with its bold, tasty flavor and easy to use recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 lbs breakfast sausage (Jimmy Dean)
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cups raw rice
  • 2 (10 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 (10 oz) cans cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1

Sauté the onions, celery and green onions in a heavy skillet on low heat. DO NOT BROWN.

Step 2

Add sausage and cook well. Add other ingredients, stirring together.

Step 3

Pour into buttered dish and bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes.

Step 4

This recipe makes a very large serving and can be cut in half.
