Classic Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk or water

Directions

Step 1

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Beat the egg and add the milk to it. Combine the wet ingredients to the dry.

Step 2

Drop by spoonfuls into whichever gravy or fricassee you have boiling. Cook covered for 15 minutes before you are ready to complete your dish.
