Buttermilk Pie

My mother-in-law always made this pie for holidays. It didn’t last long. It’s delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour (rounded)
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Step 1

Have butter soft at room temperature. Add sugar. Cream together well.

Step 2

Add flour to butter/sugar mixture, cut in and blend well. Add eggs. Beat well.

Step 3

Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.

Step 4

Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 350 degrees until knife inserted into center of pie comes out clean. Approximately 50-60 minutes.
