Wanda’s Stuffed Hamburger

These are the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. My sister Wanda has been making these for as long as I can remember. My 12 year old recently had one of hers and suggested that I make them at home. I did; and we’ve agreed that Wanda’s are better.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • bread crumbs
  • McCormick Season-all or any Cajun seasonings you prefer
  • Hamburger Bun

Directions

Step 1

Chop onions and bell pepper into small pieces.

Step 2

Add bread crumbs and seasonings to ground meat. Mix together gently using hands.

Step 3

Shape into burger patties and grill or use skillet. Serve on hamburger buns with or without condiments.

Step 4

Great garnishments as pictured - Spinach, Grilled Red Onions, Tomato, and Avocado Slices

Step 5

Cooking time varies upon personal preference.

This recipe works best when burgers are allowed to sit at least one hour before cooking; this allows the flavors to come together.
