Great tasting, fast and easy side dish! La Pai La Patate!! You can substitute pumpkin for sweet potatoes and make a great dessert!!!
- 3 cups sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 stick melted margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 stick margarine, softened
- 1 cups chopped nuts
Combine the first 6 ingredients (sweet potatoes, sugar, salt, vanilla, margarine, and evaporated milk). Mix well.
Spoon into a 2 quart baking dish.
Mix the remaining ingredients together to form a topping.
Add topping over potatoes and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
