Seven Layer Dip

This fiesta dip can served at a football game party, party or, in Louisiana, any excuse to pass a good time. Make it up an hour or two beforehand and put in the fridge. But don’t make it too much longer in advance. This dish only takes 15 minutes to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 cup Mexican 4 cheese blend
  • 1 cup mild or medium salsa
  • 8 ounces guacamole
  • 1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
  • 1/3 scallions (green onion top), chopped
  • 16 ounces tortilla chips (heavy duty kind)

Directions

Step 1

Combine the beans and taco mix in a small bowl. Spread it over the bottom of an 8-inch square glass baking dish.

Step 2

Layer sour cream, guacamole, cheese, salsa, chilies, and green onions. Taste first then serve to the rest of the crowd with chips. This is a great crowd pleaser.
