Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • Cold water

Directions

Step 1

Beat egg in measuring cup, add enough cold water to the egg to make 1/2 cup liquid.

Step 2

Blend flour and shortening together; add liquid to flour mixture. Blend together well.

May be prepared ahead of time and wrapped in wax paper and stored in refrigerator until ready to use.
