- 5 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup sunflower kernels
- 1/2 cup powdered milk
- 1/2 cup wheat germ (about half of a standard 12 oz jar)

- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 to 1 cup almonds and/or sesame seeds (amount to taste)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250-275°F.
- Dump oatmeal into a roasting pan.
- Pour the powdered milk, honey and oil on top of the oatmeal.
- Add the wheat germ, sunflower kernels, and your choice of almonds and/or sesame seeds and stir up until everything is well combined.
- Spread evenly and bake in the low oven for 35 to 45 minutes until lightly browned, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes to ensure even browning.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely. The granola will crisp up as it cools.
- Serve over cold milk or enjoy as a snack.
