- 2 cups sugar
- 2 rolls chocolate chip ready to bake cookies
Step-by-Step Instructions

- Grease a 13X9 inch pan. Slice one roll of cookies into cookies (uncooked).
- Put a layer of cookies into bottom of pan. Place the cream cheese mixture on top of this.
- Slice other roll of cookies and place sliced cookies on top of cream cheese mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until cookies start getting brown. Refrigerate when cool.
Common Problems and Solutions
Q: Can I soften the cream cheese in the microwave?
A: Yes, but do it in short 10-15 second bursts to avoid melting. Room temperature cream cheese blends more smoothly with the eggs and sugar.
Q: The top cookies are browning too fast. What should I do?
A: Tent the pan loosely with aluminum foil for the last 10-15 minutes of baking to prevent over-browning while the center sets.
Tips and Techniques
Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing for a smoother filling. The dessert sets up best when refrigerated overnight, making it perfect for make-ahead occasions.
