Chocolate Chip "Yummy"
This is a very rich, yummy dessert made with cream cheese, chocolate chip cookie dough, and a sweet egg mixture. Three layers of indulgence that’s easy to make and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

13 servings
  • 2 (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 rolls chocolate chip ready to bake cookies

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese, eggs and sugar. Put aside.
  2. Grease a 13X9 inch pan. Slice one roll of cookies into cookies (uncooked).
  3. Put a layer of cookies into bottom of pan. Place the cream cheese mixture on top of this.
  4. Slice other roll of cookies and place sliced cookies on top of cream cheese mixture.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until cookies start getting brown. Refrigerate when cool.

Common Problems and Solutions

Q: Can I soften the cream cheese in the microwave?

A: Yes, but do it in short 10-15 second bursts to avoid melting. Room temperature cream cheese blends more smoothly with the eggs and sugar.

Q: The top cookies are browning too fast. What should I do?

A: Tent the pan loosely with aluminum foil for the last 10-15 minutes of baking to prevent over-browning while the center sets.

Tips and Techniques

Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing for a smoother filling. The dessert sets up best when refrigerated overnight, making it perfect for make-ahead occasions.
