Grandma's Tomato (Mexican) Rice

Makes:	6 - 8 servings
Prep Time:	25 minutes
Cook Time:	1 hour, 0 minutes
Ready In:	1 hour, 25 minutes

This is like eating rice and tomato gravy.

Ingredients

1 pound ground meat

1 1/2 cup rice browned in a little oil

1 onion chopped fine sauted in a bacon oil

1 can tomato sauce

2 cups water

salt to taste

2 tbsp chili powder

1/2 bell pepper cut in strips

Directions

Brown the ground meat and drain.

Brown the rice in little oil.

Saute the onion in a little bacon grease.

Combine all ingredients; lay the bell pepper strips on top. Cover, and cook over medium heat until done. Note it will be dry.
