My mother-in-law would make these for special occasions. She canned her own squash.

| Ingredients |
| 4 - 5 sliced yellow squash |
3/4 onion chopped |
| 3 eggs |
1 can cream of chicken soup |
| 1 small can green chilies |
1 large jar Cheez-Whiz |
| salt and pepper to taste |
Bread Crumbs as needed for topping |
| butter for topping |

| Directions |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice squash and cook with onion until almost done. Set aside.
Beat eggs until light. Add the squash, cream of chicken soup, green chilies, salt and pepper to taste to the well beaten eggs. Mix well.
Layer the Cheez-Whiz in the bottom of the casserole dish. Add the squash mixture and spread evenly over the Cheez-Whiz.
Top with the bread crumbs and butter.
Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes until the cheese comes to the top.
