Makes:
Prep Time:30 minutes
Cook Time:15 minutes
Ready In:45 minutes
This can make a wonderful inexpensive entree' served over creamed potatoes or a delightful appetizer.
 
Ingredients
1 pound chicken livers, halved 3 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup margarine 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 onion chopped fine 1 celery stalk chopped fine
1 garlic clove chopped fine 2 jalapenos sliced thin (optional)
3/4 cup beef broth  
 
Directions
Coat livers in mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Set aside.

Melt margarine in skillet; saute onion, celery, garlic and jalapenos; cook until tender.

Add livers; brown well on both sides.

Add the beef broth and worcestershire. Cover and simmer 3 minutes or until livers are slightly pink inside when cut.

Wonderful served over mashed potatoes.
