A terrific treat anytime of the year. Or try these instead of pumpkin pie. Try them once and they soon wil become a family classic. |
| |
| Ingredients |
| 3 cups sugar |
1 cup liquid shortening |
| 2 eggs |
1 tsp vanilla |
| 5 cups flour |
1 tsp salt |
| 2 tsp baking powder |
2 tsp baking soda |
| 2 tsp nutmeg |
2 tsp cinnamon |
| 1 large can pumpkin |
12 ounces chocolate chips |
| 1 cup chopped nuts |
| |
| | | Directions | In a large glass bowl combine the sugar, shortening and eggs.
Sift the dry ingredients together (flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon).
Using a mixer, combine the pumpkin and flour mixture alternately to the liquid mixture.
With a spoon now mix well the chocolate chips and nuts into the mixture.
Drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. |
