Another classic praline recipe for holiday gift giving or just to keep for yourself.
Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup milk
2 tbsp Karo white syrup
4 cups pecan halves
2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Reading across, combine the first 6 ingredients (not the vanilla) in saucepan. Cook about 20 minutes on a medium fire until it comes to a boil. Stir occasionally and continue cooking until mixture forms a small ball in cold water. Remove from heat; add vanilla and stir until mixture begins to lose its gloss. Then drop small portions onto waxed paper (put foil under waxed paper to keep it from sticking to your countertop). Work fast keeping saucepan over a warm surface if it seems to harden too fast. Let cool before removing from waxed paper. Store in air tight container
