In addition to being a great meal, this is also an old treatment for stomach virus in Cajun Land.

Ingredients
2 cups milk 3/4 cup water
1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp flour

Directions
Mix flour and water to make thin mixture. Heat the milk, sugar, and salt to scalding. Slowly add flour and water mixture into milk. Stir until thickened like a pudding. Let cool to thicken more.
This can then have a tsp of vanilla added if you would like to use it for a cake or tart filling. It can be eaten as is for treatment for upset stomach along with bananas. Or use PET evaporated milk and when the Bouille is near done add sponge cake that has been cut into small pieces and eat as dessert.
