How to boil the most perfect eggs for your next shrimp and egg gumbo or Easter egg hunt!
Ingredients
6 eggs (or any quantity)
Directions
Use enough cold water to cover the eggs one inch deep.
Bring water to a rolling boil. Turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Plunge the eggs into cold water to stop the cooking process.
Rap the egg a couple of times on a hard surface then roll around in your hands to loosen the shell. The shell will pop right off.
Eggs a week or so old will peel easier than freshly laid eggs. This is because as the egg gets older an air pocket grows between the shell and the egg.
