This is an adaptation of a recipe from The Complete Book of Pickles and Relishes (Leonard Levinson). The recipe book was picked up in an antique shop in Comfort, TX. Ingredients
16 red peppers
16 green peppers
3 small hot peppers
16 red onions
3 pints vinegar
4 tbsp salt
3 cups sugar
Directions
Fine chop peppers and onions. Cover with boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes; then drain. Boil vinegar, salt and sugar. Add vegetables and bring to a boil again. Seal at once in sterilized jars. Makes 12 pints.
