How wonderful to have a recipe from such a lovely Cajun Ma Ma. I wonder how many Cajun dished this lovely 92 year old lady has prepared.
Ingredients
3 cups crushed pecans
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups evaporated milk
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
Directions
In a medium saucepan, add first three ingredients (sugar, milk and pecans) until sugar is melted and then add the butter. Continue to cook, stirring constantly and when mixture starts to bubble, it is cooked.
Spread between layers of cool cake. If mixture becomes to thick, add a little evaporated milk. Put between layers of yellow butter cake mix. Yum Yum.
