This is a great candy for children to make. Wonderful taste and great for the holidays. Fill your gift tins with this delight.
Ingredients
2 blocks butter
2 packages powdered sugar (2lbs)
2 bags 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chip
1 lock gulf wax
1 jar 18 oz Jif peanut butter or Peter Pan Honey Peanut Butter
Directions
Note: The original recipe called for Jiff Creamy or Crunchy (your choice)peanut butter. The new Peter Pan Honey Peanut Butter gives the candy a different taste.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and peanut butter together. Stir in powdered sugar. Take off the fire and let cool until the mixture can be handled. Shape into little balls.
In a fondu pot, melt the chocolate and wax together. With a fork, dip the balls in the chocolate and place on aluminum foil. The balls can be redipped if when you take them off the foil, too much chocolate comes off. Store in a cool dry closed container.
