From cpcchester.org - Peach Festival - Peaches were probably the first fruit crop and domesticated in China about 3000 years ago. Top 5 Countries in peach production - 1. China 2. Italy 3. USA 4. Spain 5. Greece Peaches contain no fat and no cholesterol and over 10 minerals and vitamins and only 66 calories per cup. A peach and a nectarine are similar. Genetically, there is little difference between the two. The primary difference is that a peach has fuzz on its skin while a nectarine does not. The peach is grown in 64 countries worldwide. U.S. produces about 20% of the world's peaches. -This recipe is the perfect use for peaches.
 
Ingredients
1 loaf French Bread 3 cups milk
1 cup whipping cream 2 cups sugar
8 tbsp butter melted 3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup coconut (optional) 1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup sliced peaches  
 
Directions
Combine all ingredients except the peaches. Mixture should be very moist but not soupy. Pour into a buttered 13X9 baking dish. Place sliced peaches over the top of the mixture and place pan into a non-preheated oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
