Pain Perdue II (French Toast)

Makes: 4 servings
Prep Time:20 minutes
Cook Time:5 minutes
Ready In:25 minutes
This is a great classic breakfast or supper dish. Served with a cold glass of milk and it does not get much better.
 
Ingredients
3 eggs 3 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
butter for pan frying Any type of day old (or older) bread. White, French or Wheat....
 
Directions
In a medium glass bowl, beat the eggs. Add the sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Dip the bread into the mixture.

Pan-fry the bread in a skillet that has melted butter until brown on both sides. Coat with powdered sugar or warm syrup.

Scale this recipe to servings.
