This classic sugar cookie is made easier with this no fail recipe. Bring them with you on your sking trips or white water rafting. Great to sanck on after expending all that energy.
Ingredients
1 cup softened butter (room temperature)
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 medium eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp nutmeg (you can more for taste)
1/4 cup milk add a thimbleful of vinegar to sour
Directions
Cream butter, sugar and then add eggs. Mix all dry ingredients together. Combine wet and dry ingredients along with the soured milk. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out very thin. Use a mixture of flour and sugar for this and cut out 2 1/2 inch size cookies. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until brown around the edges.
If some cookies brown before other, take out and then let others continue to cook.
