Here is a dish for your "meat and potato" kids. You can't go wrong with meatloaf.
It goes great with mashed potatoes and gravy. |
| |
| Ingredients |
| 1 1/2 pound ground meat |
1 cup fresh bread crumbs |
| 1 onion, finely chopped |
1 egg |
| 2 small cans tomato sauce |
1/2 cup water |
| 3 tbsp vinegar |
3 tbsp brown sugar |
| 2 tbsp mustard |
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce |
| 1/4 tsp pepper |
| |
| | | Directions | Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix ground meat, bread crumbs, onion, beaten egg, salt, pepper, and 1/2 can of the tomato sauce. Form into a loaf and put into a 7x10 inch loaf pan.
For sauce, combine all remaining ingredients, using the remainder
of the tomato sauce. Pour over the meat loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 15 minutes. Baste occasionally. |
