Looking for a light dessert or salad to add to your holiday table this dish fits the bill. I serve it for the holidays as a salad but can be served as a dessert. Dish can be made calorie-wise by using sugar free jello and low-fat cottage cheese.

Ingredients
1 large container Cool Whip 1 large container cottage cheese
1 large lime jello 1 large can crushed pineapple
1 large can orange segment or use fresh 1 cup walnuts chopped
1 small jar of cherries

Directions
Blend cool whip and cottage cheese in a large tupperware bowl or punch bowl. Add dry jello. Drain fruit and blend well and add pineapple, orange segments, and nuts. Add cherries on top with additional nuts for garnish. You can use other flavors of jello (could easily be doubled for larger crowds). Note author has used low fat cottage cheese and sugar free jello in the recipe and the dish still came out great. You could also add tropical fruits or fruit cocktail if desired. Serve with holiday meals as a salad or dessert along with your favorite pies and cakes.
