Maw Maw loves to go to brunch and enjoy Mimosa's. It seems her niece has developed her taste as she loves to prepare and share this drink for weddings, bridal showers or Sunday brunch. After all, people who drink in moderation tend to be healthier and live longer than those who either abstain or abuse alcohol. Moderate consumption of alcohol does not appear to contribute to weight gain. And distilled spirits (whiskey, brandy, rum, tequila, gin, etc.) contain no carbohydrates, no fats of any kind, and no cholesterol however they do contain calories! Surprisely over half of the hospitals in the largest 65 Metropolitan areas in the U. S. have reported that they offer alcohol beverage service to their patients. Contrary to a common misperception, alcohol does not destroy brain cells. In fact, the moderate consumption of alcohol is often associated with improved cognitive functioning. Remember to always drink responsibly and Never Drink and Drive. Sparkling wine maybe substituted.

Ingredients
2 cups orange juice with pulp 1 cup pineapple juice
2 tbsp grenadine 1 750-milliliter) bottle Champagne or sparkling wine

Directions
Chill all ingredients thoroughly. Combine the juices and grenadine blending completely. Mix half the champagne/sparkling wine to equal (less or more) amounts of your favorite Champagne in a flute....Toast to the happy occassion! For best flavor, always use the orange juice with pulp! Also you may substitute two cans (12 oz) ginger ale or lemon-lime soda ( 7-Up, Sierra Mist, Fresca) may be substituted for the orange juice. A happy toast to our Cajun heritage!
