This is one of my mom's favorite dishes.
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 dozen soft shell crabs
bread or cracker crumbs (optional)
salt & black pepper
canola oil
Directions
Make flour mixture: mix flour and baking powder
Make egg mixture: mix eggs and milk
Season whole crab with salt & pepper. Double dip crab in egg mixture, then flour mixture. OPTIONAL: You can use the cracker or bread crumbs in the second dipping.
Place crab gently in oil (either pan fry or deep fat fry) for about 5 minutes or until brown.
