1 cup brown sugar 1 cup pecans marshmallows for topping
Directions
Boil the sweet potatoes (yams); slice one to one and one-half inch thick and layer in a buttered 9x13 casserole dish. Add pecans.
In a separate bowl mix together the sugar, pineapple and syrup, making sure the sugar has dissolved. Pour over the layered sweet potatoes. In the last few minutes of cooking top the dish with marshmallows. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
