Here ia a classic dumpling recipe for any of your favorite dumpling dishes. Cooking tip: Do not uncover the dish in the final steps of cooking as steam helps the dumplings to be light.
Ingredients
3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1/3 cup milk or water
Directions
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Beat the egg and add the milk to it. Combine the wet ingredients to the dry.
Drop by spoonfuls into the boiling gravy or fricassee. Cook covered for 15 minutes before you are ready to complete your dish.
