| Ingredients |
| 2 cups sugar |
2 cups flour |
| 1/2 cup crisco |
1 cup water |
| 3 1/2 tbsp cocoa |
1 stick oleo |
| 2 eggs |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
| 1 tsp vanilla |
2 tsp soda |
| a pinch of salt |

| | | Directions | Stir together in bowl,sugar and flour. In saucepan bring to boil, crisco, water, cocoa and oleo. Add to sugar and flour, then mix together. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, soda and a pinch of salt, mix well. Pour into greased 13x9 pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
Icing:
In a saucepan add 1 stick of oleo, 3 1/2 Tablespoons cocoa, 1/3 cup can milk, 1 tsp. vanilla. When bubbles stop and remove from heat. Add to 1 box of confectioners sugar mix. Frost soon as cake comes out. |
