A great chicken dish excellent for a dinner party.
Ingredients
12 chicken breast skinned, halved and boned
1 jar chipped chop beef
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
12 bacon slices
1 cup sour cream
silvered almonds optional
Directions
Wrap each breast with a piece of bacon. Cover bottom of flat baking dish (8x12x2) with dried beef. Plce chicken breast in pan.
Mix undiluted soup and sour cream and pour over chicken. Cover and refrigerate.
About 4 hours before serving time, heat oven to 250 degrees and bake uncovered 3 1/2 to 4 hours. To shorten baking time, heat to 275 degrees and cook 3 hours.
Omit any salt. The bacon and soup add enough salt. The chicken breast may seem small but this is a very rich dish and one breast is usually all one person can eat.
