A classic favorite. |

| Ingredients |
| 3 cups cooked mashed yams |
2 eggs beaten |
| 1/2 stick melted oleo (butter or margarine) |
1 1/2 tsp vanilla |
| 1/3 cup all purpose flour |
1/3 stick oleo |
| 1/2 cup white sugar |
1/2 tsp salt |
| 1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
| 1 cup chopped nuts |

| | | Directions | Combine yams, white sugar, eggs, salt and 1/2 stick of oleo. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well.
Spoon into a buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, nuts and 1/3 stick oleo. Spread the mealy mixture on top of the yams.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until set. |
