Makes:	24 servings
Prep Time:	15 minutes
Cook Time:	15 minutes
Ready In:	30 minutes

A classic light and fluffy biscuit recipe for buttermilk lovers.

Ingredients

4 cups sifted flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup shortening or Crisco butter

1/4 tsp soda

3/4 cup buttermilk

Directions

Sift flour once; measure and sift again with salt, soda and baking powder.

Cut in the shortening; add milk gradually to form soft dough.

Turn out on lightly floured board, roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.

Bake in hot oven of 450 degrees, 15 minutes or until golden brown.
