Take anyone of our on site sweet dough tart recipes and filled with this delicious blackberry filling. This recipe uses either the fresh or frozen berries and can be used for tarts or cobbler.

Ingredients
1 gallon frozen or frozen blackberries 2 1/2 pound granulated sugar
1/2 glass of water ONLY if using fresh berries. 6 tbsp cornstarch

Directions
In a large cooking pot, combine the berries and the sugar. Since frozen berries have pretty much liquid, do not add any water. However, if you are using fresh berries, add 1/2 glass of water.

Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until mixture is somewhat thick. Mix the cornstarch with only enough water to make a soft paste that can be poured. Turn your burner down low and pour very slowly into the blackberry mixture and continue stirring for a minute or two.

The mixture will get real thick. Turn the burner off but keep stirring for a few minutes longer. The mixture will look like a thick jelly.

Fill your tarts or make your fresh cobbler.
