| 4 ounces butter |
1 quart chicken stock/broth (Use Wylers Chicken Granuels dissovled in hot water) |
| 1/4 cup chopped green onions |
1/4 cup heavy cream or Half n Half |
| 1 cup grits |
4 ounces swiss or cheddar cheese (salt & pepper to taste) |

| Directions |
MawMaw prefers making her chicken broth by bring the one quart water to a boil and adding 2 heaping tablespoons of Wylers Chicken Granules. (Chicken broth from can may be used).
Heat the milk lightly and then combine the cream/milk to the pan and bring to a light boil. Gradually add the stirring constantly until the liquid is absorbed. Add the cracked pepper, salt, butter, cheese, and green onions until well blended.
Top with Shrimp or Grillards. |
