Prep Time:	15 minutes
Cook Time:	12 minutes
Ready In:	27 minutes

A classic type of scratch biscuit.

Ingredients

2 cups sifted flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 tbsp shortening

3/4 cup milk

Directions

In a medium glass bowl, sift the flour once, measure. Add the baking powder and salt and sift again.

Cut in the shortening; add milk gradually until soft dough is formed.

Roll out on a slightly floured board, cut out and bake in a hot oven of 450 degrees, 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
