This is an oldtime family recipe from the 1800's.
Ingredients
3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Combine beaten eggs, sugar and salt.
Scald milk and mix with the egg mixture. Add vanilla.
Pour into lightly greased custard cups. Place in a pan of hot water
and put into a preheated, 325 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until a sharp knife comes out clean.
